Shaher Trading Company - STCO

Shaher Trading Company has businesses and interests in Yemen and various countries. STCO is involved in the following ventures:

  

  • - Soft Drink Bottling (Coca Cola) In Egypt & Yemen.

- Glass Container Manufacturing.

- Household Products (Clorox international) Manufacture and distributes in Yemen.

- Xerox Yemen.

- International Bank of Yemen (IBY).

- Hotels and Resorts (Taj Sheba) & (Yemen Tours and Travel).

- Oil Gas and Mineral Exploration (DNO).

- Mineral exploration is being done in joint venture with MINORCO and Zincox.

- GSM Telecommunication (Yemen & Sudan).

- In Ethiopia, the group has a cigarette manufacturing facility and gas distribution.

- Shaher Group also has representative offices in the United Kingdom, Russia and Germany.

  

Management of the Group:

  

Management of the Group’s activities is undertaken at three levels to enable each business unit to be part of a whole and contribute to the achievement of the Group’s business and strategic objectives. 

  

-At the first level is the Family Board consisting of the senior members of the Abdulhak family as follows:-

Mr. Besher Abdulhak                    Board Member

  

     The Family Board formulates strategy and corporate policy, deciding upon new investments; geographic, product or unit expansion; overall direction, focus and consolidation of activities.

  

-The second level is the Corporate Management Group where the Managing Director of the Group is joined by professional executives as follows:
